The regular meeting of the USIC Board was held on November 8-10, 2023 in Berlin, and the agenda was mainly to evaluate the course of USIC events in 2023, when a total of 6 championships were held, again with a lower number of participants than in 2019.

Board´s members recommended the CTT to respond to this situation by reassessing the playing systems, the duration of championships, etc. This was followed by an update of the sports calendar for 2024, where there is still a question mark over the organization of the Badminton championship in Poland (not confirmed by the organizer) and the Orienteering in Switzerland (low number of teams). USIC membership was also at issue, and President Christophe Parel reported on the favourable development of his negotiations in Great Britain, where USIC membership was threatened. There is also an unresolved situation in Kazakhstan, where there have been personnel changes. New contacts were established and USIC management was informed that there is an effort to resolve the situation and stabilize membership in USIC. Further information will be provided in the Minutes of the meeting.
